Audi Q2 In-depth review Part 1

The Audi Q2 is a sub-compact luxury cross-over SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) manufactured by the German car manufacturer Audi since 2017. The Q2 was first unveiled by Audi on March 1, 2016 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Q2 is one of the many Audi models which is based upon the Volkswagen group (s) MQB platform respectively.

DESIGN:-

In terms of design, though instantly identifiable as a typical Audi SUV/crossover, the Q2 sports a number of bespoke styling touches that lend it a unique sporty character.

The Q2's front face is formed flat and in an upwards slant position, like the other models of Audi's Q Series respectively. The interior incorporates a 5.8 inch Audi MMI display and a 12.3 inch virtual cockpit display which gives a multitude of information for the driver respectively.

The Q2 also employs an LED ambient lighting system, which projects differently coloured light into the car's interior cabin, depending on the time of day albeit it can be adjusted according to the passengers needs and comfort respectively. Thus the Audi Q2 has quite a lot of road presence as compared to the other models in the Cross-over segment respectively.

The rear of the Q2 is however slightly different from other Audi cars in it's portfolio. It surprisingly looks like an extended and updated version of the Volkswagen Polo MK5. The rear tail-lamps are induced with LED technology which looks absolutely stunning during the night respectively. The Q2 comes with single exhaust tail pipe in the base variant but has dual-quad exhaust tail pipes in the top most variant aas shown in the above picture. Also they are surrounded by Chrome which certainly gives the Q2 a very exquisite appeal. Standard equipments includes Reverse parking sensors, Rear parking camera and a whole lot more.

ENGINES:- The standard engine offered with the Audi Q2 is a 2.0L 40 TFS Petrol engine which delivers a maximum horsepower of 188 bhp @ 4200-6000 rpm and 320 n/m of torque @ 1500-4180 rpm respectively. This engine spec is the "All-wheel Drive (AWD)" version of the Audi Q2. Drivability is very good in town plus in the highways with a total fuel tank capacity of 55L.

However the Q2 is also offered with 2 diesel engines whoch includes a 1.6L TDI (Turbo Charged direct injection) which is a Front wheel drive and a 2.0L TDI which is an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) which is a 110 Kw powered spec respectively. But if you want performance on the go and also good mileage then surely opt for the 2.0L TFSI Petrol spec as mentioned earlier.

INTERIOR:-

The interior of the Q2 is very analogous to those of it's siblings. The quality is absolutely fantastic with all round soft leather and exquisite materials used. The steering wheel of the Audi Q2 is very similiar to those used in other Audi cars and needless to say that it is a leather wrapped steering wheel with the rack and pinion system respectively. The Q2 has steering adjustments for both reach and rake which further increases the ergonomics of the car. Also the seats of the Q2 are very comfortable and supportive in nature with adequate amount of bolstrings on noth side. Under thigh support is adequate enough. The seats comes with a Lumbar support for further comfort of the passengers respectively. The Q2 comes with automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, lane-detection warning and alot more. The Q2 does comes with a cruise-control which is adaptive in nature.

SAFETY:- Needless to say that this Audi car comes packaged with a ton of safety features which includes 8 airbags (including side airbags), ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), Brake-Assist, Engine Immobilizer, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring system, Traction control, Blind-spot monitoring and a whole lot more. Hence the Audi Q2 is a very safe car indeed. with ultimate peace of mind for the owner respectively.

SUSPENSION SET-UP:- Front:- McPherson Strut with underbody guard + heavy duty axle

REAR:- Independent 4-link suspension setup.
